  1. Ask a trainer to measure your body fat %.
  2. Take your total weight and multiply it by your body fat %.
  3. Subtract that number from your total weight. This is your lean body mass (L.B.M.)
  4. Now, multiply your L.B.M. (x) 1.818
  5. This number is the number of grams of protein you should take in daily.

Example, using my current body stats:

  1. I have approx 10% body fat.
  2. I weigh 242 pounds (x) 10% (=) 24.2 pounds of total body fat.
  3. My total weight (242) - 24.2 pounds = 217.8 pounds of L.B.M.
  4. 217.8 (x) 1.818 (=) 395.96 grams of protein per day.

This means I would need to consume about 396 grams of protein per day to achieve maximal results.
